Features
The MSD-II is a pneumatic, spring-opposed diaphragm actuator operating from plant air. Excellent long-term accuracy and reliability is achieved through the use of multiple springs in the actuator.
The rugged one-piece yoke, the pressed steel diaphragm case and the special nylon reinforced diaphragm provide dependable, high thrust performance. Additionally, the precision formed diaphragm eliminates friction and reduces variations in the effective area during operation which, in turn, results in exceptional linearity.
An optional top or side-mounted manual override is available on both direct and reverse acting actuators. Six different sizes of the MSD-II actuators with various accessories can virtually satisfy all application requirements.
Severe Service ; As a multi-spring type, Operation is precise and repeatability is excellent Minimizing the hysteresis error.
Solutions ; The pressure-tight chamber to which air pressure is connected has a small volume for fast response.
Technology ; All parts are engineered and tested for long life under millions of cycles.

Features
Severe Service ; Many valves are marketed for critical service control, but few can provide the complete solution needed for the grueling conditions of Severs Service. The DRAG 100D Valve was designed solely for this purpose to meet your specific control valve needs. Whatever your application, for severe service control, there is only one intelligent choice.
Solutions ; The DRAG 100D control valve provides the complete solution because it eliminates problems of cavitation, Noise, erosion and vibration by effectively controlling fluid velocity.
Technology ; The technologically advanced design of the DRAG disk stack trim controls fluid velocities by forcing the fluid through a series of right angle turns. The exact number of turns is scientifically calculated to achieve low fluid velocities consistent with the needs of the application. This assures long, trouble-free control valve life.

Quality Assurance/ Quality Control ; 800D valves meet the ANSI B16.34 standard. Hydrostatic tests are performed in accordance with of "Valves-Flanged, Threaded, and Butt-welding End". This encompasses the dimensions, construction, testing and rating of all valves supplied. We also perform ANSI standard seat leakage and hydrostatic tests on every valve we build, and operability tests are run on each valve and actuator leaving our factory. Special tests are readily available to meet your specific project needs, including non-destructive testing of valve components and performance testing of actuator controls.
DRAG® Velocity control trim has long been an industry preference for solving valve problems. Whether problems are due to cavitation damage, noise, poor control, or vibration, this valve will help. The 800D makes it easier to bring DRAG® technology solutions to you.
Our proven technology, in this pre-engineered package, allows your plant to receive many of the benefits that have traditionally come only with a custom designed valve. Designed with up to eight turns, this tortuous path multi-stages pressure reduction capability is unmatched in ANSI Class 600 control valves. Configured with either flow to open or flow to close trims, the valve is well suited to steam, gas or liquid flow. Flow to close is typically used for liquid service, and flow to open for steam and gas. The flanged body design is configured to meet ISA S75.03 face to face dimensions. Using a spring and diaphragm actuator, the complete valve is easier to fit into your plant systems, whether a new or replacement application. Weld end body configurations are available with socket weld ends through NPS 2 size and butt-weld ends through NPS 8.
The MSD-II actuator is standard for this product. This multi-spring diaphragm.
Unit is pre-selected by valve size, Built in reverse (spring close) or direct (spring open) acting configurations, this unit provides control and seat loading in line with typical industry values. Refer to the MSD-II catalog for more information.
Standard materials allow compliance with NACE MR 0175 and are also suitable for Power plant and Refinery applications. The soft seat option meets FCI 70-2 Class VI seat leakage.
Use VALSIZ computer program for ease of sizing and selection of your application.

Features
Anti-Cavitation ; Hardened material and fully characterized design to minimize cavitation damage caused by very high pressure drop.
One stage, two stages and multi-stages are available depend on process condition. Linear characteristic is most commonly used but EQ% is also available to meet desired flow characteristic.
Low-Noise ; Flexible media. High pressure drop or massive flow application would cause high noise and vibration due to excessive kinetic energy. ISA recommend to control this energy by velocity head concept. CCI design hole diameter, arrangement and number of stages accordingly. Linear characteristic is most commonly used but EQ% is also available to meet desired flow characteristic.
Tight shutoff ; A variety of shutoff classes from ANSI IV through VI are available to meet application requirements.
Sour Gas/ Corrosive Fluid Capable ; The wide choice body and trim materials allows the 840G to be applied to corrosive/ sour gas services with full compliance to NACE requirements.
